Alan Rotman graduated from Monash University with an Economics/Law degree and has now had approximately 40 years experience in the law. Alan founded Alan Rotman & Associates in 1982, was a partner in Rotman & Morris from 1996 to 2011 and is now semi-retired.
Alan has expertise in the areas of Commercial Law including leasing, business transactions and structures, corporate and trust work, property law, franchising, wills and probate and trusts.
Alan generally prepares wills, franchise documentation, partnership agreements, leases, trusts and shareholders agreements, joint venture agreements and distributorship agreements, and has gained extensive experience in a range of commercial and property matters, assisting individuals, franchisors, private companies and small public companies with their legal issues.
Alan currently works in the office two days a week and retains a strong connection with many of his clients notwithstanding he is semi-retired. Alan is best contacted by email as he is often seeing clients on his two days in the office.
It is no secret that Alan enjoys travelling. He is often overseas and has many stories to tell about his travelling adventures.
Alan is married with three children and his other interests include reading, salsa dancing, the Melbourne Football Club, bike riding and writing poetry. Alan also recently became a grandfather.
